Thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to make this NaNo my shining moment to actually get BIC and get to working! It's gonna be hard with 2 jobs and a 2 year old, but Im gonna do it somehow. I took the approach of just writing the 50,000 words without caring too much about content and although it is well within the spirit, I think I would have felt more accomplished if I liked what I wrote. I participated in NaNo last year, and like your fear, I spent too long trying to get the beginning set up just right. Even for my current WIP, the beginning is incomplete, but I've moved past it for now. After the first draft is done, I'll go back and set it into stone. The trick to NaNo is not getting hung up. Press on and write a different scene if need be. As far as NaNo this year, I'm still debating - there's time left yet to make a decision.
